Work with filters and data

When importing data with FH CAD Monitor, you have the option to define CAD data filters, specify a process termination expression, map CAD unit values to FIREHOUSE Software unit values, convert CAD data values into FIREHOUSE Software lookup codes, map CAD unit values to FIREHOUSE Software unit values, include additional columns in the import, and more.

  1. (If you selected Run as a Service during installation) Stop the FH CAD Monitor service.

    Information on stopping the FH CAD Monitor service is available in Stop a service.

  2. At the bottom of the FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor window, click Options.

    The FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor Options dialog box appears, displaying the General tab.

  3. Click the Filters & Data tab.

    Note: The Unit Status and Query Additional Incident Columns sections do not appear on the tab for all CAD systems.

  4. Do any of the following.

  5. (Genisis CAD) Select or clear Get incident number from unit record to indicate whether or not. you want to use the incident number in the unit record from the CAD data as the incident number in FIREHOUSE Software.

  6. Click Save.

    The FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor Options dialog box closes.

  7. (If you stopped the FH CAD Monitor service earlier) Restart the FH CAD Monitor service.
