Work with detectors and sensors

Detectors with various types of sensors (chemical, radiation, fire alarm, security/intrusion, and so forth) are capable of monitoring a site remotely through a wireless connection, permitting centralized monitoring of an automated alarm system, or a safe remote workstation for human operator. FH Mobile Response can receive detector data and provide responders with critical moment-by-moment information about a site.

A detector can be highly specialized and have only one type of sensor or it, or can be more general and have multiple types of sensors on it. As a result, a detector can have multiple sensor values to display in FH Mobile Response. The sensor data accumulates in FH Mobile Response in a senor database as readings over a period of time. You can display this sensor data on your map, in real time, as FH Mobile Response receives new data.

FH Mobile Response can also use information from sensors and detectors added to an incident (for example: a hydrogen sulfide (H2S) sensor at a scene), to call up and display crucial guidance documentation such as Emergency Response Guidebook (ERG) pages, personal protection equipment (PPE), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), first aid, and so forth.

Note: You must have purchased FH Mobile Response Premium to work with detector and sensor information in FH Mobile Response. For information on upgrading from FH Mobile Response Basic to Premium, contact your FH sales representative.
