"Company" is another word for "unit." The company list that FH Inspector displays is populated from the unit lookup table in FIREHOUSE Software.
Data is pushed through a secure Internet connection from the FIREHOUSE Software database at the fire station to the FIREHOUSE Software Cloud, and then pulled from the FIREHOUSE Software Cloud to the iPad in your hands. When you synchronize the data on the iPad, the data pushes from the iPad in your hands to the FIREHOUSE Software Cloud, and is then pulled down from the FIREHOUSE Software Cloud to the FIREHOUSE Software database at the fire station.

We currently support all models of iPad. The only thing that would change this hardware support is if Apple-mandated application changes occur. We suggest updating to at least the iPad 2, to use the new camera function to take and attach photographs to inspections.
The amount of memory needed when using FH Inspector depends on the number of images you want to attach to inspections. We no longer recommend using the iPad 1, because it does not allow for the full FH Inspector application functionality.
