Manage the FH CAD Monitor service

During the installation process, you had the option to run FH CAD Monitor as a service. If you selected this option, the FH CAD Monitor service is automatically created and runs silently in the background. If you did not elect to run FH CAD Monitor as a service at that time, you can create a new service to do so later.

You can add or modify FH CAD Monitor services using the FH CAD Monitor Service Manager.

Note: If FH CAD Monitor handles data from multiple CAD systems, you must add a service for each CAD system to import from. A FH CAD Monitor license is required for each service.

Warning: You need to suspend FH CAD Monitor services running in the background before changing configuration options in FH CAD Monitor .

1. Choose Start → Programs → FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor → FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor Service Manager.

   The CAD Monitor Service Manager dialog box appears.

   

2. Depending on what you want to do, continue with one of the following.

   • Create a new service
   • Edit an existing service
   • Delete a service
   • Stop a service
   • Start a service
   • Review the service activity log
