Create a new service

1. Choose Start → Programs → FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor → FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor Service Manager.

   The CAD Monitor Service Manager dialog box appears.

2. Choose Manage Services → Create Service.

   The Create Service dialog box appears.

   

3. In Service Display Name, type a name to display in the CAD Monitor Service Manager dialog box for the service.

4. In Service Name, type a name for the service.

5. In Fhcad.exe Location, type the location of the FH CAD Monitor executable file.

   By default, this file is located at C:\Program Files\FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor\.

   Caution: If FH CAD Monitor is installed on a mapped network drive, use the Universal Naming Convention (UNC) path to the location of FHCad.exe instead of the mapped drive letter.

   Example: \\Shared1_svr\Shared1\Program Files\FIREHOUSE Software CAD Monitor\

6. In Domain\User Name, type the domain name and user name of the user whose login runs the service.
7. In Password, type the password for the user whose login runs the service.

8. Click Create Service.

   The Create Service confirmation dialog box appears.

9. Click OK.
10. In the Create Service dialog box, click Exit.
