Install a new database

Note: If you are updating your existing database, skip this topic and continue with Download the .FHz files you need.

To replace the current database with a blank new database, you will install FH 7 as a new installation.

Warning: Any existing data you have in an earlier installation of FH cannot be copied over to the new installation. To preserve existing data, you must Archive your database, in the Incident reporting module, and update the existing installation to FH 7.

1. Search your local hard drive and/or your network drive for the FH.lic file.
2. Copy the file.
3. Navigate to a temporary location on your hard drive and paste the file.
4. Rename the file to FHSerial.lic.

5. Install FH 7.

   Note: Documentation for installing FH is available on the CD in Docs\IIGuide.pdf.

   Tip: Make a copy of IIGuide.pdf on your local drive, so that you can reference it or print it later as necessary.

6. Activate the evaluation system with the FH Serial.lic file, following the instructions in the IIGuide.pdf file.
7. Continue with Download the .FHz files you need.
