Export Multiple FDID Counts

When you set up FH, you should have added all the stations with unique FDIDs in the Administrative Options form. As set up in the Administrative Options form, the values for number of stations, career paid, volunteer not paid, and volunteer paid are drawn from the Administrative Options form, License section. These counts are associated with the department's information in the department header included in the transaction file.

All stations designated as central are included in department headers; however, the counts for each FDID are based on the Administrative Options form, License section count entries.

For each additional FDID that you wish to include individual counts for, complete the following steps.

  1. From the Tools menu, select Lookup Tables.

  2. Select the Incident Report Codes Department and Investigating Agencies lookup, then press Setup.

  3. Add or edit the station for which you wish to include counts for.

    The Code for Departments and Investigative Agencies form is displayed.

  4. Enter the FDID in Their FDID (must match the FDID added for the station in the Administrative Options form).

  5. Press NFIRS Info and complete the counts to include with the additional FDID in the department header.

    When you export a NFIRS transaction file, opt to export department information and leave FDID blank (forcing all FDIDs to export), the counts will be as follows.

    • A: as specified in the Administrative Options form, or if available,
    • B: as specified in the Department and Investigating Agencies lookup entry for the station (value in Their FDID must match the FDID for the station added via the Administrative Options form).
