Access CAMEO RIDS

You must install the CAMEO database and link FH to the CAMEO database via the Workstation Options form Local Data & Files section before CAMEO RIDS are available. Information on CAMEO RIDS is available in Response Information Data Sheets (RIDS).

With the CAMEO Response Information Data Sheet displayed, you can browse specific response information or print a complete RIDS.

  1. Access CAMEO RIDS in one of these ways:

    1. Open a material record.
    2. Access the HazMat Report form, Materials section.

    3. Press Chem Lookup....

      The Chemical Lookup form is displayed.

    4. Access the CAMEO Database section and press Response Information....
    1. Open an occupancy record.
    2. Access the Additional Records section.

    3. Press Chemical Inventory....

      The Chemical Inventory form is displayed.

    4. Press Chem Lookup....

      The Chemical Lookup form is displayed.

    5. Access the CAMEO Database section and press Response Information....

  2. Select an option to view specific information:

    • General Description
    • Properties
    • Health Hazards
    • First Aid
    • Fire Hazards
    • Fire Fighting
    • Protective Clothing
    • Non-Fire Response
  3. Press Print to print a Response Information Data Sheet for the chemical.
