Dispatch/Remote Station Incident Report

Incidents can be added to this area as part of dispatch, or remote station incident response.

When incident reports are added as dispatch reports, information is entered, the incident is marked as finished, and incident data is transferred to the NFIRS or EMS area and removed from the dispatch/remote station incident area.

Remote station incident response is added in the same manner; however, the incident is not marked as finished. Units and Personnel added for the incident will be included in exports to other stations. A NFIRS or EMS main report will not be created at the remote station, and the remote station response incident remains in the dispatch/remote station incident area.

1. Select the File menu, Dispatch & Remote Station Response Entry... option to display the Dispatch/Remote Station Incident Report form (or press Ctrl + I).

2. Complete all required fields.

   Note: If this is a remote response record, be sure to enter the correct FDID, Alarm Date, and Incident Number so the information will append to the main incident report with the corresponding FDID, Alarm Date, and Incident Number when exported.

3. Complete incident information.

   1. Check NFIRS Incident Report if this incident is a NFIRS incident report, then complete known NFIRS incident information.
   2. Check EMS/Search & Rescue Incident Report if this incident is an EMS/Search & Rescue incident report, then complete known EMS incident information.
   3. (If EMS/Search & Rescue is checked) Add additional information like responding units and personnel and patients/victims information.
   4. Add an incident narrative.
   5. Check Append this narrative to existing narrative for this incident report on import to add the narrative to the end of any existing incident narrative when it is exported/imported to the central station (for remote station responses).

   6. (For Dispatch Reports Only: Check This dispatch report is finished when finished with the dispatch report.

      Caution: Do not check if it is a remote response entry.

      The information is transferred to the NFIRS and or EMS tables when you press Save.

4. (If this is a remote station response) Export the remote response to the main station.

   1. From remote station, select the File menu Station Management option Export Data to Station option.

   2. Select Dispatch & Remote Station Incident Reports, then specify additional criteria for export.
   3. At the central station, select the File menu Station Management option Import Data from Station option.
   4. Select the directory containing the export file created by the remote station, then press OK.
