FHETS 2011 Class Presentations
FHETS 2011
Thank you to everyone who attended the 2011 FIREHOUSE Software Education and Training Seminar at the Omni Hotel in downtown Fort Worth. Hopefully everyone was able to experience their own bit of "Cowboys and Culture." This year's numbers showed another strong commitment to learning the tools and features of FH products and services. This year there were 470 attendees, 36 different class subjects covered in 124 class sessions, and 100+ one-on-one sessions. Two evening receptions along with a user group panel discussion gave attendees the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences among their fellow colleagues as well.
We have some post-event comments we'd like to share:
- Sue Boney, Biloxi Fire Department, Biloxi, MS. - "Overall, the conference was well orchestrated and thought-out. The classes were both challenging and stimulating. The CD of the presentations is a valuable resource tool. Everyone involved with FHETS has been helpful and accessible."
- Judy Stangl, Springfield Fire Dept., Springfield, MO. - "Getting a chance to talk to others about what they do/use and this gives me ideas on what I can do to make things better."
- Paul Januszewski, Enfield Fire #1, Enfield, CT. - "The conference allowed you to cater your attendance based on your comfort level with the FH program and staff were willing to give frank advice on whether a particular session might be worth attending based on your stated comfort level. The conference also was NOT a SELL job for FH, obviously because most attendees already use FH but still it emphasized using and getting the most out of FH rather than any comparisons to other programs."

I always learn something at the conference from another user and I enjoy meeting new people. Also, it gives you a chance to talk to the staff about FH, whether it is issues you have or see with FH or to offer suggestions."
- Amanda Jones, Springfield Fire Dept, Springfield, MO. - "This was my first FHETS conference and I was so impressed by all of the attention to detail. You all obviously know what you're doing! Everything was taken care of, from water provided in the classes, to am/pm snacks, and I appreciated the nametag w/ the compartments for my room keys--how convenient! Everything was well organized and ran smoothly. The instructors were very knowledgeable and approachable."
