FH version 7 Product Support Status - Effective 10/15/14
FIREHOUSE Software will continue to support our FH 7 records management software on supported Windows OS platforms through at least January, 2018.
There is potential for FH to continue FH 7 support beyond January, 2018, dependent on several things, including:
- The level of ongoing customer demand for FH 7 in 2018 and beyond.
- The ability to run FH 7 on Windows 10. Preliminary testing leads us to believe FH 7 will be fully supported on Windows 10, but we cannot fully confirm this until a “gold” release is available from Microsoft.
Clients planning for their future software needs should keep in mind that our new features are primarily being delivered in the FHnet platform. We encourage customers to consider planning their move to FHnet to take advantage of these new features, but should not feel any rush to do so if they are well served by their current FH 7 implementation.

Cedar Park TX. publishes article in Texas Fire Chief Magazine
James Mallinger, Assistant Chief of the Cedar Park Fire Department in Texas wrote a story for Texas Fire Chief Magazine detailing his department’s conversion from paper inspection reports to using mobile data terminals (MDTs) to file inspection reports. The department combines these powerful tablets to avoid duplication of effort by directly entering inspection records, eliminating the need to have paper forms. See more information about how the Cedar Park Fire Department utilizes the MDTs and FH Software at http://www.nxtbook.com/nxtbooks/naylor/TXFB0209/#/30.
The Secret of Our Success
FIREHOUSE Software has been developed with input from users from the beginning. Originally developed as a basic fire incident reporting package, over the years we have added features and new record areas requested by clients. We have developed a database for tracking client and prospect requests for new features, and use this list for developing new versions and FH products. Today, clients buy FIREHOUSE Software because it's the best software in the industry. But they keep using the software because we have the best support in the industry. Word of mouth continues to be the most important sales tool we have. We have been actively surveying customer satisfaction since 1997 to ensure that our clients are satisfied with the products and services. The survey results, are used to ensure that we are focusing on what's important…..our clients.
