Add A Custom Expression To Query

You can add a custom expression to your query. If you are familiar with advanced expressions in FH, you can customize the value included in the query.

1. From the Tools menu, select the Queries... option.

   The Queries form is displayed.
   

2. Select the module and record area, and either create a new query, or modify an existing query.

   Information on creating or modifying a query is available in Create New Query and Modify Query.

3. In the Query Designer form, Fields section, press Custom Field Expression....

   The Query Custom Field form is displayed.

4. Enter a valid expression for returning your custom expression in Field Expression, or press Expression Builder... to display the expression builder form.

   Information on creating a valid expression is available in Expressions.

5. Press OK.

   The expression is added to the query.
