Supplemental Address
- In the form you are in, press Supplemental Address.
-
Type Latitude and Longitude values.
Latitude and Longitude values are entered into FH as a numeric value. If your location source does not convert position into a numeric value, press F2 with the cursor in a Latitude or Longitude field to display a form for converting the individual Degrees/Minutes/Seconds values into a numeric value
Latitude is expressed as a positive number North of the equator (all of North America), and longitude is expressed as a negative number West of the Royal Greenwich Observatory (all of North America). You can manually convert the Degree/Minute/Second value to numeric using the following formula:
For positive values: Degrees + Minutes/60 + Seconds/3600
For negative values: Degrees - Minutes/60 - Seconds/3600
If you have FH mapping, the latitude and longitude can be geocoded for you. If you do not have FH mapping, latitude and longitude are added to the records supplemental address form.
Note: If you use FH mapping, the latitude and longitude can be determined for you (see Geocoding) but you should enter this information if it is available to you, or select the location on the map.
- Type other supplemental address information.
- Press Find Longitude/Latitude to find the nearest longitude/latitude coordinates based on available address information.
- Press OK to save and close form.
