Restore the FH Web documents and check the path statement

  1. Restore the FH Web documents.

If you have custom web .html documents, or if you have multiple databases attached to the FH Web server, you need to restore the Web folders at this point.

    1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to your computer's desktop.
    2. Select any Web folders you pasted there earlier, and then make a copy of them.
    3. Navigate to the new FH Web Connection Manager installation directory.

By default, this directory is at C:\Program Files\ACSXerox\FH Web Edition\.

    4. Paste the copies of the Web folders in this directory.
  2. Check the path statement in the registry.

    1. In Windows Explorer, navigate to C:/Windows and double-click regedit.exe.

      The Registry Editor window appears.

    2. In the left pane, expand HKEY_Users → .Default.
    3. In the left pane, select Environment, and in the right pane, check to see whether Path is listed.
    4. Depending on whether or not Path is listed, do one of the following.

      Is Path listed? Do this

      Yes

      1. In the right pane, for Path, verify that the Type column lists REG_EXPAND_SZ.
      2. (If the type is not REG_EXPAND_SZ) Delete the Path variable.
      3. Add Path back using the steps listed listed in the No row below.

      No

      1. In the left pane, right-click Environment, and then choose New → Expandable String Value from the menu that appears.

A dialog box appears, prompting you to name the expandable string value.

      2. Type Path, and then click OK.

The new Path variable appears in the right pane.

      3. Double-click the new Path variable.

A dialog box appears, prompting you for the data value for the variable.

      4. Type %USERPROFILE%\WINDOWS, and then click OK.
