Disable User Account Control on Windows 7 and 8.1 Professional

Windows 7 and 8.1 Professional workstations have a feature called User Account Control (UAC), which is enabled by default. This feature causes performance problems with FH, and needs to be disabled before installing FH Mobile.

1. Log on to the mobile computer as an administrator.

2. Choose Start → Control Panel.

   The Control Panel dialog box appears, displaying the Adjust your computer's settings screen.

   

3. Click User Accounts.

   The Make changes to your user account screen appears.

   

4. Click Change User Account Control settings.

   The User Account Control dialog box appears.

   

5. Click Yes.

   The User Account Control Settings dialog box appears.

   

6. Slide the slider bar to the bottom, to the Never Notify setting.

7. Click OK.

   The User Account Control dialog box appears.

   

8. Click Yes.
9. Close the open dialog boxes.
10. Restart your computer.
11. Continue with Install SQL Server 2008 Express.
