Collect data with the Ontario 2009 SIR recording method

Once you have installed the user-defined field definitions, you can collect data with the Ontario 2009 SIR recording method in FH. Information on recording incidents is available in the FH online help.

Note: The design and structure of the 2009 SIR allows for dollar loss amounts to be exported with a $0 value. When a data export is processed by the fire marshal’s office, it may return a warning validation message about the estimated loss or content loss data. This warning message can be ignored--the incident report is still considered complete and valid.

Caution: In FH's Incident Report dialog box, in the Actions Taken section, FH requires a value to be entered in the Code field for the incident to save properly. This code is not included when you export incident records for submission to the Ontario Fire Marshal.
