Training category

One other lookup table that plays an important role in recording training points is the Training Category. Training categories may be thought of as the class or drill names, which should describe what was covered in the class or drill.

The lookup table for training categories contains the following fields:

Field	Description
Code	The code for the training category (up to 8 characters).
Description	A description of the category (up to 50 characters).
Default Hours Paid	Not applicable for volunteer departments.
Default Points	The default number of points awarded for the course/drill.

As with activity codes, default values may be overridden when the training information is entered.
