Rubbered and anchored lines
When lines and other objects are red or pink (by default), they are not anchored. Red indicates a rubbered line that is perfectly horizontal, vertical, or diagonal (45°). When you draw a line, it is in a “rubbered” state, and you can change the line’s length and orientation.
Example: You draw a line 25’ to the right. While it is red, you can still adjust it and enter measurements and direction to change its length and orientation.
Once you anchor a line and its dimension, the witness line disappears, and the line becomes the color, thickness, and style of the selected area definition. In most cases, the line becomes blue.
Note: Once you anchor a line, you cannot change it unless you perform an editing function.
