Heads-Up Display

To the right of the Update bar, the Heads-Up Display (HUD) displays information as you draw, and is a convenient way to verify size and location when drawing lines, angles and quick shapes.

Line drawing is easy with the HUD, as it displays information as you enter it.

Example:  When drawing a line that is 24.7’ long ,enter: 24.7'. As you do this, the HUD displays your entry.

Direct angle input uses the HUD to report input for an angle you have measured.

Example:  You need to draw a 20’ line that turns to the left at 53°. To draw this, enter 20 L 53. As you do this, the HUD displays your entry.

Rectangular quick shapes dimensions appear in the HUD as you enter the width and height of the area you are drawing.

Example:  You have an area in which the width and height are 24’ x 20’. To draw this shape, enter 24 X 20. As you do this, the HUD displays your entry.

Multiple-sided quick shapes are also displayed in the HUD.

Example:  You have a geodesic dome that has 12 sides, that are all 14.5’ long. To draw this shape, enter 12@14.5. As you do this, the HUD displays your entry.
