Export OH EMS

Ohio has a unique EMS incident reporting system. The steps to install the Ohio EMS functionality was included in the 'Implementing OHIO State EMS FIREHOUSE Software' instructions (also available with an internet connection at http://www.firehousesoftware.com/pdf/OHEMS.PDF)

  1. From the File menu, select the EMS/Search Rescue Reporting>Export EMS Transaction File.

    The Select EMS Export form is displayed.

    Warning: If the Select EMS Export form is not displayed, the OH EMS Incident Reporting system is not properly installed and the incident will be rejected by the state. You must properly install the OH EMS Incident Reporting system.

  2. Select the Ohio State EMS Export, then press OK.

    The Custom Data Export form is displayed.

  3. Complete form options, then press Finish.
  4. Specify query parameters if applicable, then press OK.

    The transaction file is created and placed in the specified location(s).

    Note: OH EMS export activity is logged in a special location. The standard EMS export history log does not contain details about OH EMS exports. Access the OH EMS export log through the Administration menu Database Administration>Custom Data Export... option. Access the Log section, then select the list item and press Details for more information.
