A record is a set of related information made up of individual fields grouped together.
Example: Incident information and hydrant information are two types of records.

The dock computer is a computer workstation with FH installed configured to share records with FH Pocket PC applications. Any FH workstation can be used as a dock computer as long as Microsoft ActiveSync 3.5 or better is installed on the workstation, the Pocket PC add on is activated in FH, and the synchronization folder is accessible to all ‘dock computers’.
