FH Mobile is growing.... The FH Mobile suite continues to grow. FH Mobile EMS is available in July! FH Mobile EMS is designed to provide an onsite EMS patient care record entry solution for departments that use FH. FH Mobile EMS has a new approach that simplifies patient care record entry. All data elements in FH Mobile EMS are displayed in data grids and action plans. You define specific patient care record scenarios and apply these scenarios as they happen. You can specify what data grid the data elements are displayed on and sequence the data elements as needed. All of your lookup codes from FH are included in FH Mobile EMS. FH Mobile EMS is compatible with FH 6 and FH 7, including support for the additional NHTSA 2.2 (NEMSIS) fields available in FH 7.
FH Mobile Inspections development has begun! Like its Mobile predecessors, FH Mobile Inspections will give the user the ability to collect occupancy and inspection data on scene, and synchronize the data with the FH master database. New design details and product information will be coming soon on our website and with future newsletters.

Tips from the Field.... This column details different ways our clients have put FIREHOUSE Software to work for their department. We encourage clients to submit tips and suggestions for future FireVISION articles. Feel free to email them to FHdocumentation@acs-inc.com.
FIREHOUSE software's query and report output options can give users some great ways to produce information for their local citizens. To keep the city of Kearney Missouri informed, the Kearney Fire Department is using FIREHOUSE software to output a list of calls from the previous week. The list is posted to their fire department's web page, http://www.kearneyfire.org/. In this example, the department is outputting a report to HTML format, which is then displayed on their web page. The list can be found near the bottom of the main page. Take a look when you have a chance!

EMS Corner FIREHOUSE Software version 7 includes some major changes that will effect clients in states contemplating a move to new EMS codesets; current EMS codesets can be mapped to newly installed EMS codesets. When you install a new EMS codeset and you have existing EMS incident records that use a different EMS codeset, you previously had to archive all old EMS incident records, uninstall the current EMS codeset, then install the new EMS codeset, then enter new EMS incident records using the new codeset. For the first time, FIREHOUSE Software version 7 users installing new EMS codeset will have the option to 'map' their existing EMS codeset to a new EMS codeset and continue using their current EMS codeset. In the background, FH version 7 will use the 'map' to submit the new EMS code associated with the code used. Users will only see the old, familiar codes when completing EMS incident reports, but the newly installed EMS codeset will be used in the background when the incident is submitted to your state or regional EMS incident collection agency. Code mapping will make the task of switching EMS codeset much easier, which was an important goal for FH 7 development since many states have announced their intention to adopt NEMSIS.
