1.1.3 Release Notes
These Release Notes are for FH Inspector 1.1.3, and provide a listing of the defects resolved and the enhancements implemented during this release.
Note: FH Inspector 1.1.3 requires FIREHOUSE Software 7.12.17 or higher.
The following issues were successfully resolved this release.
If you entered comments on a violation, when you synchronized FH Inspector with FH, the comment was replicated with every synchronization.
Example: After you synchronized five times, the same comment would be listed five times in the violation in FH.
The duplicated comments appeared in FH in the completed inspection record.
- Open the Inspection module and a completed inspection record containing a violation comment.
- Click the Violations tab.
-
From the list select the violation containing a comment, and then click Open.
In the Violation Detail dialog box that appeared, under Comments, the duplicated comment appeared.
If you hid an occupancy in FH with the steps below, data about the occupancy was still pushed to the FH Cloud, and the occupancy still appeared in FH Inspector.
- Open the Occupancy module and the record for the occupancy you want to hide.
- On the Address tab, under Miscellaneous, select Hide Occupancy in Lookups.
Note: If an occupancy is marked as hidden in FH after an inspection was performed in FH Inspector and pushed back to the FH Cloud, the inspection and occupancy data remains in the FH Cloud and appears in FH Inspector. However, occupancies marked as hidden in FH before an inspection is performed are not displayed in FH Inspector.
When you synchronized FH Inspector with FH, the calculated amount of time the staff member spent on the inspection was truncated.
Example: If the staff member spent 0.75 hours on an inspection, during the synchronization, the time spent was truncated to zero. If the staff member spent 2.5 hours on an inspection, the time spent was truncated to two.
The incorrect value appeared in FH when you opened the Inspection module and a completed inspection record. On the Basic tab, under Times, Staff Hours displayed the truncated value.
The following enhancements were implemented this release.
An inspector other than the one the inspection is assigned to can now perform and sign an inspection. This is particularly useful when an assigned inspector is ill, on vacation, or otherwise unavailable when the scheduled inspection occurs.
If an occupancy or hydrant location can not be geocoded and displayed on the map, they are still listed below the map. When you touch the listing of the occupancy or hydrant, balloon help appears over the map, displaying information about the inspection or hydrant you touched. An additional message appears across the top of the balloon, stating that the location is not shown on the map.
If you click the i in the upper right corner of the balloon, an informational dialog appears, containing more specific information on why the location is not shown on the map.
FH Inspector requires that, in FH, you assign a shift and a company/unit for all inspections, and that occupancies and hydrants also have a company/unit assigned to them. Now, the code of the company/unit performing the inspection no longer has to match the unit code assigned to the hydrant or occupancy.
You can now add a new hydrant in FH Inspector, and when you synchronize back to FH, a new hydrant record is created in FH.
Information on adding a new hydrant is available in the FH Inspector User's Guide, in Add a new hydrant.
