FHETS 2010

The 2010 FIREHOUSE Software Education and Training Seminar (FHETS) at The Westin Seattle brought over 400 attendees from 300 different departments across the country together for three days of FH learning and idea sharing. Attendees had nearly forty different classes to choose from during the event. This year's new classes included: the latest FH products (FH Sketch and FHinspector for iPad), upcoming enhancements to FH (Mapping with Google Earth and Inventory with Bar Coding), an introduction to the new FH Cost Recovery Service, and three different classes covering FH.net. Thank you to everyone who attended this year. We have some post-event comments we'd like to share:

  • Steve Hoyer, Brighton Area Fire Department, Brighton, MI: "The session topics were all very well targeted. I am a programmer / database administrator by day and a firefighter by night. As such, I have been to a fair number of technical conferences. I took away more immediate action items leaving this conference than any other conference."
  • Misty Lowrey, City of Waco Fire Department, Waco, TX: "I am just very pleased with the social atmosphere of these conferences. Everyone is so pleasant and easy to talk to and even though there are hundreds of us there...we get the individual attention to our issues if needed."
  • Trudy Maletta, Kings County Fire Department, Hanford, CA: "The willingness by the instructors to answer any question. They are so knowledgeable and helpful. The classes were well put together with so many things covered. It couldn't have been better!"
  • Bernard Molloy II, Lakeside Fire Protection District, Temecula, CA: "It was clear that FireHouse takes this conference very seriously. I had a great time and learned a lot. In addition to dealing the courses offered, being able to interact with other users was a great part of this conference."
  • Darren White, Ozark Fire Protection District, Ozark, MO: "The classes are great but when you combine that with the networking and the educational opportunities we have discussing FH with our peers, you have put together a conference that is top notch!"
