A FHETS this big had to be held in Texas!

The 2011 FIREHOUSE Software Education and Training Seminar was a brilliant success. This year's numbers showed another strong commitment to learning the tools and features of FH products and services. This year there were 470 attendees, 36 different class subject covered in 124 class sessions, and 100+ one-on-one sessions. Two evening receptions along with a user group panel discussion gave attendees the opportunity to share their knowledge and experiences among their fellow colleagues as well.

During the Thursday reception, the dates, site and subject matter for 2012 were announced. Next year everyone is invited to join us September 18 through September 21 at The Omni Hotel in Atlanta, GA. The subject...all things FH.net! Of course, we'll have classes for the current FH products and upcoming new products and services as well.

Attendees have received their post FHETS survey. We'll put some of their comments and reviews on the FHETS 2011 web page as soon as they become available. Thanks again to everyone that attended this year. For those who unfortunately couldn't make it...start your planning now! Come join us in Atlanta!

Using cloud technology to move data, FH Medic will make data collection faster and easier than ever before.

Stay tuned! The latest news about FH Medic will be available right after the first of the year.
FH.net Development Status Update

FHETS attendees heard it first. Now it's time to spread the word to all of you about the much anticipated FH.net development status.

Software design and development has been ongoing since our last update to you over a year ago. We are beginning the ramp up for final completion and release. Initial beta testing with pre-selected clients will begin by the end of the year, and continue through the first quarter of 2012. In the second quarter, a release version will be available for new customers, followed by a conversion for existing clients.

Through support from a reorganization of delivery resources, to an additional investment approval from ACS executives, we are entirely committed to the projected timeline to deliver FH.net to you. We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we finalize FH.net. Look forward to more updates coming soon!

Comments:    The City of Biloxi is centrally located on the Mississippi Gulf Coast midway between New Orleans, LA. and Mobile, AL. Settled in 1699, Biloxi was incorporated as a town in 1850. The city has traditionally been a tourist destination with its beaches and waterfront homes and was once named the "Seafood Capital of the World". With the recent legalization of gambling, Biloxi is now home to eight casinos. Over its long history, Biloxi has also seen its share of natural disasters; two of the most devastating being Hurricane Camille in 1969 and Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Although the entire Gulf Coast region incurred massive damages from each storm, Biloxi and its citizens were able to bounce back quickly to recover.
The Biloxi Fire Department started out as a volunteer department in 1883, largely in response to the city's thriving seafood industry and well-founded growing population. As the city grew, so did the number of volunteer fire departments. Today, the Biloxi Fire Department is a fully paid department consisting of two districts (north and south) serving an area of 62 square miles. The department consists of Fire Prevention, Training, and Operations Divisions, offering BLS for medical calls (over 70% of the department's calls) as well as public safety education and training services to the community. The department has mutual aid agreements with surrounding coastal cities as well as Keesler Air Force Base Fire Department to assist with suppression and special operations, such as confined space and high angle rescue.
